Matri Lamb was raised in Northeastern Vermont, and returned to New England in 2013 after more than 20 years on the West Coast, where she earned an MA in Italian Literature from Stanford University and co-founded Airlie Press, a successful nonprofit poetry publishing company. She served as Community Engagement Coordinator while on the faculty at Portland Community College and developed a social-advocacy writing curriculum for nontraditional students.
