Inventing Trees Puppetry Troupe

Inventing Trees is the performing and visual arts troupe pedaling stuff that used to live inside the dream world as described currently by a bunch of (mostly) introverts that make up stories on the edge of the woods and sheepishly bring them out to play.

Annie Kloppenberg

Annie Kloppenberg’s creative and theoretical research hinges on improvisation. She teaches, performs, and presents her choreography and scholarly research internationally. She has published articles in the Dance Chronicle and Kinebago, and her work has appeared in Dance Magazine. Kloppenberg currently serves on the Board of the American College Dance Association. She teaches at Colby College in Waterville Maine.

Jawad Alftlawi

Jawad Alftlawi is a composer, solo oud player, oud maker and teacher. Born in Baghdad, Iraq, he completed a Master Degree in music science at the university of Baghdad.

Pretty Girls Sing Soprano

Since their inception Pretty Girls Sing Soprano have quickly turned heads and gained a loyal following with their tight, clever and original harmonies.  Ingrid Ayer-Richardson, Susan Mathews and Deana Gurney combine voices to share their love of acoustic and a cappella music.  They will sing to your soul and leave you with a smile as they perform good music with top-notch vocals on a variety of songs from bluegrass, folk, traditional to country and rock-n-roll. 

Erica Quin-Easter

Erica Quin-Easter is a writer, choral composer, and nonprofit professional living in Woolwich, Maine. She has received multiple grants from Maine Arts Commission, including an Innovative Production Grant for (F)light: a borderlands song cycle, a choral composition created in collaboration with Tucson, Arizona poets Wendy Burk and Eric Magrane, and a Project Grant for Artists for the promotion of her work Eight Contemporary Carols for a Cappella Choir.

Pamela Vail

Pamela Vail, associate professor of dance at Franklin & Marshall College, is an improviser, choreographer, performer, and teacher.  She is a co-founding member of the Architects, a performance improvisation quartet, with whom she has been teaching, creating and performing for over 20 years. Vail is also a founding member of critically acclaimed New York City-based Yanira Castro | a canary torsi. Her screendance collaborations with filmmaker Jeremy Moss have screened at festivals around the world. (www.architectsdance.org)

Jamie Pearson

Jamie Pearson is a singer and multi-instrumentalist. Through his label Big Phil Records he produces original electronic dance music as Mr. Bear and ambient music as Collider. A native of North Yorkshire, England, Jamie now lives in Pownal and is co-founder of Fuego Diablo, a music and arts studio featuring a popular open mic series. He produces a line of bbq & hot sauces and is the creator of Big Phil, a collection of cartoon characters.

Heather Lyon

Heather Lyon is a visual artist born on the coast of Maine. She holds both an MFA and BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago where she received a Trustee Merit Scholarship for her graduate work. After living and working in Chicago, Paris, and Nantes, she moved back to the land where she was born. Currently, she teaches art at the Blue Hill Harbor School, an alternative High School. She has exhibited her work in Chicago, France, New York, Virginia, and Maine.

Ariel Hall

Ariel Hall is a multi-disciplinary artist working mainly in performance and installation. She has shown her work at La MaMa, Panoply Performance Lab, the Culture Project, the Steel House, and the Center for Maine Contemporary Art, as well as in public urban spaces from New York to Sao Paulo. She also performs other artists’ work at the Museum of Modern Art. Ariel holds an MA in Performance Studies from NYU.

Kea Tesseyman

Kea Tesseyman is the Founder/Director of Kinetic Energy Alive Productions and co-creator of Power Performance. She has been teaching dance since 2002 and has grown within the community of Camden through her love and passion of working with students. Along with a belief that a healthy vibe and attitude can produce the best, most creative work of art, Kea also believes her dance and performance company offers just what aspiring dancers need to achieve their dreams – Power Performance.
